Hulk is named for exactly what it delivers: sheer muscle. Where Black KHZ chases dark skin and Riza chases precise symmetry, Hulk is bred for one thing — a titanium-thick, low-profile, giant caudex in record time. It's the line for growers who want a plant that looks ancient and powerful right out of the gate.

FULL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Adenium arabicum 'Hulk' is an elite Thai hybrid built for raw, aggressive bulk. It's not subtle, and it's not trying to be.

The "Hulk" Caudex
This line doesn't just grow — it expands laterally. The hyper-squat, wide-spreading base develops thick, bulky ripples and multi-trunk configurations that look like flexed muscle, giving even young specimens the presence of a plant that's survived centuries in the wild.

Thick, Blocky Branching
Branches emerge thick and stubby, scaled to match the massive base. Very short internodes keep the canopy dense and tightly packed without any training required.

Bark and Coloration
Active growth carries an olive-green to rich bronze-green undertone, settling into a classic silvery-green as the outer skin hardens with maturity.

Foliage
Large, broad, slightly rounded leaves with a glossy to subtly velvety texture. Bright green foliage against the greenish-bronze wood gives the whole plant a lush, dominant presence.

Flowers
Classic pink single blossoms — straightforward and reliable, like most arabicums bred primarily for form.

Hulk is prized in breeding circles for hybrid vigor — fast sprouting, thick stems early, and high resistance to stress. It's a genuinely fun variety to grow because it rewards aggressive input rather than punishing it.

Zone 6 Notes
Hulk is the one line in my collection I push with real fertilizer and water volume through the hot summer months — it responds to that regimen better than almost anything else I grow, and that's when the trunk and root base put on the most visible size. I pot mine in shallow, wide bonsai containers on purpose; forcing the massive root system to spread outward instead of down is what accentuates that muscular, low stance. Outside in full sun after May 15, indoors before first hard frost in mid-October, then standard arabicum dormancy — dry and cool until spring growth resumes. Use a fast-draining gritty mix even with the heavier feeding; you want nutrients and water moving through, not sitting.
