Adenium arabicum 'Rambo' lives up to its name — a heavyweight arabicum selection built on a broad, powerful caudex, spectacular branching, and the thick, muscular root development that defines the strongest specimens in the class. This is a variety bred for presence, and mature plants deliver it.
The broad caudex is the foundation. Rather than a narrow or upright base, Rambo spreads wide and low, building the kind of heavy, grounded mass that anchors a serious collection. On top of that base, the branching is where Rambo earns its reputation — full, well-distributed, and dramatic, giving developed plants a dense, sculptural crown that few arabicum varieties match.
Combined with thick, aggressive surface roots, that structure makes Rambo an outstanding candidate for bonsai and sculptural training. The broad base takes root-over-rock and centipede work well, and the heavy branching gives you plenty to shape as the plant matures. Fresh-harvested Thai seed stock; availability on genetics at this level is limited stateside.
What makes Rambo stand out:
∙ Broad, low, powerful caudex — heavy grounded mass with strong specimen potential
∙ Spectacular, well-distributed branching — a dense sculptural crown as the plant develops
∙ Thick, muscular surface roots ideal for bonsai and centipede training
∙ Fresh-harvested Thai-origin genetics, limited in the domestic market
10 seeds per packet.
Fresh harvested. Germination instructions included.
What You'll Need to Grow These
Seeds are only half the equation — germination success comes down to the right setup. Here's what I use:
∙ Desert Oasis Potting Media — the fast-draining inorganic mix built for Adenium, Plumeria, and caudex seedlings once they're up and potted on.
∙ Luxbird Seed Germinator & Propagation Kit — bottom heat and a humidity dome, the two things that push arabicum germination toward the 90%+ range.
∙ 5×5 Germination Tray — sized for clean single-variety sowing so nothing gets crossed up.
