Adenium arabicum 'Godji Rocket' brings together two of the most recognizable traits in the arabicum hobby: the broad, low, muscular caudex of the Godji dwarf line and the tight, upward-launching branch crown that gives the Rocket form its name. The result is a compact, structurally dramatic plant that reads as both grounded and vertical at once.
The Godji side is where the base comes from. Godji is a premier dwarf line known for heavy, wide caudex development and thick, aggressive surface roots — a foundation that stays low and spreads wide rather than climbing. On top of that base, the Rocket habit contributes a distinctive crown of branches that launch straight up in a tight, uniform cluster, giving the plant a silhouette that stands apart from the sprawling, horizontal forms common across much of the arabicum class.
That pairing — a broad muscular base under a vertical branch crown — makes Godji Rocket a strong candidate for both container display and directional training. The thick root development gives you real material to work with for surface-root and centipede-style training as the caudex matures. Fresh-harvested Thai seed stock; availability on Godji-line material in the U.S. market is limited.
What makes Godji Rocket stand out:
∙ Broad, low, muscular caudex from the Godji dwarf line — wide base with thick surface roots
∙ Tight, vertical branch crown — the upward-launching "Rocket" silhouette that sets it apart
∙ Strong training potential for surface-root and sculptural work as the caudex develops
∙ Fresh-harvested Thai-origin genetics, limited in the domestic market
10 seeds per packet.
Fresh harvested. Germination instructions included.
What You'll Need to Grow These
Seeds are only half the equation — germination success comes down to the right setup. Here's what I use:
∙ Desert Oasis Potting Media — the fast-draining inorganic mix built for Adenium, Plumeria, and caudex seedlings once they're up and potted on.
∙ Luxbird Seed Germinator & Propagation Kit — bottom heat and a humidity dome, the two things that push arabicum germination toward the 90%+ range.
∙ 5×5 Germination Tray — sized for clean single-variety sowing so nothing gets crossed up.
