Adenium arabicum Crown Study Set — 5 Seeds Each of 5 Canopy Architectures (25 Seeds)

The Form Study Set asks what the base does. This one asks what happens above it.

Caudex shape is where most growers start, and it's the easier half of the problem. Canopy architecture is what separates a fat trunk from a finished specimen — and it's almost entirely genetic. You can wire a branch. You cannot wire a plant into throwing thirty branch breaks in a uniform ring around the caudex rim. Either the line does that or it doesn't.

These five do it five different ways.

• Black God — a radial ring of thick, short, heavy branches straight off the caudex rim, over charcoal-black UV-driven bark. Dense and multi-tiered without aggressive pruning.
• Suranya — hyper-compressed internodes and tightly rolled Dorset Horn foliage that form a dense ball canopy on their own. Deep crimson blooms against emerald curl.
• SDD × KHZ DD × Chada Tung Nang — three elite lines stacked for a uniform radial branch ring above a flat pancake base, with curled DHA leaf morphology stacking the crown.
• Torpido × MKMK — MKMK's branch density organized by Torpido's vertical geometry into a tight multi-tiered candelabra. Reads ancient at seedling size.
• Chada Tung Nang — the Golden Skirt Crown. Branches sweep outward from a flared base, then curve up into a tiered profile over silvery-gold bark.

There's a second experiment built into this set. Chada Tung Nang appears twice — as the pure line, and as one of three parents inside the SDD triple cross. Sow them side by side and you can watch which of the parent's traits actually carried through the hybrid. That's normally something you need years and your own breeding records to see.

This is not a beginner set. Suranya and the SDD cross are both advanced lines with micro-root systems and almost no tolerance for retained moisture. All five require 85–90% inorganic media and maximum unfiltered sun to hold the traits they're bred for. Drop the light and the crowns stretch into leggy geometry you can't correct. Hold water at dormancy and you lose the plant.
