Desert Oasis Germination Media — Seed Starting & Care Guide
Desert Oasis Germination Media — From Seed to Legend
Our specialized seed-starting blend for Adenium, Plumeria and Pachypodium. Screened fine sphagnum peat, perlite, fine pumice, #2 chicken grit, biochar, dolomite lime and mycorrhizae provide controlled moisture, aeration and mineral structure without added fertilizer.
Step-by-Step Germination
- Choose a clean tray with drainage holes and humidity dome.
- Fill with Desert Oasis Germination Media and moisten evenly; damp, not saturated.
- Lay seeds on the surface and gently press into contact; do not bury deeply.
- Maintain root-zone warmth around 75–90°F (24–32°C) and bright indirect light.
- Keep evenly moist, never waterlogged; ventilate the dome briefly each day and check for mold.
- Gradually increase ventilation as seedlings establish. Once they have several true leaves and strong roots, transition to Desert Oasis Potting Media.
Grower Notes
Germination varies with species, seed freshness and growing conditions. Do not allow trays to stand in water. No germination percentage is guaranteed.
